Beckham's Blessing

Today James Beckham Burrup was blessed by Darren. It was a beautiful blessing and the spirit was very strong.   He was blessed with humility, the ability to gather knowledge, to be teachable, to serve a mission and take a worthy companion to the temple, among many other wonderful blessings.  We were surrounded by family and friends, which made the day even better.

We also took the opportunity to celebrate Brinley's birthday while most of our family and friends were there.  She definitely got spoiled.  Thank you to everyone who participated in the blessing and shared this special day with us.  We are so lucky to have you all in our lives.

Happy Birthday Brinley Bug!!!

Yesterday was a bitter-sweet day.. Our little Brinley turned TWO!! I say bitter-sweet because I love this little girl so much and I feel like time is moving way too quickly.  How can it be that two years ago I was delivering this little bundle of joy and it only feels like yesterday? It feels like she was just barely starting to laugh, or take her first steps, or learning to say mommy and daddy.  Tears come to my eyes to think about our little girl and the joy and spirit she brings into our lives and to think in the blink of an eye two years have gone by.  We love her so much and look forward to many more years of birthday celebrations! We love you Brinley bug!!!

We had a great day.. We went to Thanksgiving Point and saw all the animals and then headed over to Cornbelly's, which was so much fun, they had so much stuff for Brinley to do, she didn't want to leave. After that we headed over to Justi
n and Stacy's for a little pizza and cake and ice cream...

Autumn... the BEST

I absolutely love the fall!!  We went on a drive on Thursday up the canyon to see the Lord's magnificent creations. It is the most beautiful season.  I love when it starts cooling down and sweaters are a must, when the leaves change and you can bundle up and drink hot chocolate.  Here is why fall is my favorite...

We went to the animal fair....

Actually it was the zoo. We went twice this last week since the weather was so nice.  Once on Tuesday with Darren and on Thursday with my mom and dad while Darren was working.  We decided we should go since there is limited time for this great weather.  Both days all of the animals were out.  It was so much fun and we had a great time.  It is more and more fun each time we go since Brinley is always learning something new to say or do.. Beckham was asleep most of the time and that is why he isn't in a lot of pictures.  Brinley was so cute, she was afraid we were going to leave after each animal so she would look at us and say "one more, one more". So we would go to the next animal. She is our little animal lover and would go to the zoo everyday if we lived closer.
Brin and Grandpa.. Brinley calls him "papoo"
Brin and Grandma
I love this picture.. she looks SO tiny
Brinley didn't want either of us to hold her for this picture, she wanted to sit on the gorilla's lap.
Riding the tigers with daddy, we love it when he can spend the day with us, he always makes it so much more fun!
Beckham finally woke up, so we needed to get a picture with him in it!

FINALLY!!

Well, I have finally finished Brinley's room and I say finally because it has been partially finished for about 4 months now.  I have been looking for a bed for what seems like forever and I finally found one that wasn't a small fortune.  I found it on KSL brand new still in the box for $100. That's right.  I called about 4 minutes after it had been posted and luckily it was in Payson so I picked it up that afternoon. YEAH!!  So I went and got some bedding and window treatments and some last finishing touches and I love it!! A room fit for a princess. Hopefully she will do well with the transition.  She slept in it last night for the first time and did great, although she was half asleep when we put her in there. But with a little luck I think she will do great! Here is the finished product...

BYU Game

We enjoyed another BYU game today!! We are loving this.  Although this time we decided to bring Brinley with us.  She was so good (well as good as a two year old can be) but it was so hot and there was no where for her to really stand so we ended up leaving at half time.  But it was still a good time and a great game.
We got our picture taken with Ty Detmer and Reno Mahe and a signed ball
