The Longest Day. Ever

Talk about a long day.  Darren left for Park City this morning for work only to call me about 45 minutes later saying his car had broken down in the canyon.  So I called the tow truck, loaded the kids in the car and went to pick him up.  I was thinking the tow truck would beat me there, but nope.  I got there and we waited AN HOUR for the dumb tow truck.  We had them tow us to park city, otherwise it would have cost us an arm and a leg to tow it home. So we stayed in park city for dinner when we get a phone call saying they want to charge us twice as much as the original quote from the tow company.  After another hour arguing with them we finally came to an agreement.  Then drove an hour home.  All of this with tired, grumpy kids.

First Day of School

Brinley's first day of 1st Grade.  She is so excited!  I was so nervous for her to go, but she had such a great day and loves her teacher!!

I can't believe he is in Kindergarten!!! I will just leave it at that or I will get emotional again.. My kids aren't supposed to grow up!  He was so excited and wasn't sad at all.  Me on the other hand.... At least I held it together until after I got in my car. 

Surgery

Another surgery for Presley.. This time they are going to go in and try to fix a hole behind her two front teeth.  The Dr. isn't sure he will be able to close the whole thing until her bone graft.  But it is too big right now, so it is affecting her speech.  She was champ as usual.. Love her guts!

Family

Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the love I have for these people.  It can take my breath away some days and I am so deeply grateful they are mine and for the knowledge that families are eternal.

Fisher Reunion

We LOVE the Fisher Reunion and look forward to it every year.  Camping in Oxford is so much fun and we love seeing all of our extended family and playing with cousins!! This year did not disappoint.  We had a tornado scare and everything.. What?! Yup, a tornado scare.. We had to go to the cellar and everything and wait it out.. Kind of scary but thankfully it went by us and our tent stayed up..The rope swing is always a hit!

4th of July Shenanigans

Part of our family reunion included the Liberty Parade in Utah.  When we are in Utah for the 4th we always go to the parade.  It is always so awesome and so much fun!! I love seeing the WWII veterans come by.. I get emotional every time and am so grateful for our freedoms that didn't come free. 

 I ran the 5k with Sydni and Bailey.. They killed it and both placed in their age groups.
