Jump on It!

There is a place in Pleasant Grove called Jump on It. There are trampolines everywhere and big blow up slides and all sorts of stuff. Well, every Thursday morning for an hour they have "mom and me" I saw that they had this on the internet and decided that it might be fun to take Brinley and see what she thought of all the activities. Plus it was an opportunity for her to interact with a lot of other kids and me with other moms. At first she wasn't quite sure what to think, the trampolines made her nervous since she didn't have good footing on them. So I took her down the huge slide. She LOVED it!! She kept wanted to do it again and again. After a few times she wanted to do it by herself. She wasn't big enough to climb up herself, so I would climb up there with her, slide down by myself and wait at the bottom for her. She thought she was so big and loved it! Then she wanted to try the tramp again, so we went there and to my suprise, she got the hang of it and kept trying to jump. Of course she couldn't get her feet off of the tramp, but she loved to bounce on it. So from then on we were going back and forth from the slide to the trampolines every couple of minutes. Hey for only three bucks for that we will definately be doing that more often!

Happy Easter!!

We had so much fun on Easter.. at first Brinley wasn't really sure what she was looking for. But then once westarted looking behind and in everything for her basket, she thought it was so fun and would say "no" when she didn't see anything out of the ordinary. It was hidden in a black hutch, as you can see Brinley tried so hard to get it open. But when she finally did, she was so excited. When she saw her basket, her response was "wow!" She inspected everything very carefully. Later that day, we had a little Easter egg hunt in out backyard and she loved putting all the eggs in her basket.. It is so fun to watch her grow and experience new things. But on a more serious note, I am so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Savior and his love for each of us. Who could imagine such an amazing gift... the Atonement. Happy Easter!

Early Easter

We had Easter dinner early with my parents because half of them are going to be out of town this weekend. My mom put together a little basket for Brinley and we had an Easter egg hunt. Brinley thought it was so fun to put all the eggs in her basket. She also thought the "grass" at the bottom of the basket was a fun toy....

Easter

We decided to dye easter eggs for family night. Although fun, Brinley just wanted to touch them all once they were painted. So we let her put the stickers on them after they dried. She loved it, not only were the stickers on the eggs but they were on her, me and Darren.. Lots of fun!!

It's Not Bathtime?

The other night I gave Brinley a bath for the second time that day. She didn't want to get out, so it was a pretty long one. Once she was finally done, I took her out to get her pajamas on. After she was ready for bed I started to drain the water and then left the bathroom into the kitchen. Our bathtub ledge is pretty high and she has never been able to climb into the tub. Well, I don't know exactly how she did it, but I think she got a foot up on the ledge of our shower and boosted herself up. When I walked in my room to get her, there she was in her pajamas in the bathtub. I guess she wasn't done with her bath. Even though her clothes were soaking wet she still wouldn't get out until the water was completely drained

Our Fort

Well, Brinley is getting some teeth and with that comes a runny nose and slight fever and more than enough grumpiness to go around. So of course we stay indoors. Well, there is only so much you can do indoors to entertain a grumpy one year old. So we decided to build a fort. It was a lot of fun. We sat under there together and had popcorn and watched movies and read books.. What a great pass time. She loved having her own "tent"!

The Ponytail

I thought I would try and see if Brinley's hair was long enough to fit into a tiny ponytail. Needless to say, I should probably wait until it gets a little longer.

Our Princess

Brinley has discovered the wonderful Disney princesses. Or should I say princess. She absolutely loves Cinderella. She walks around holding the DVD case saying "wella, wella, wella" (that translates to Cinderella) until I let her watch it or at least distract her for a while. Last night as we were watching Cinderella (for the second time that day) the song "So This is Love" came on and they started dancing. Well Brinley went to the couch where her dad was sitting and pulled with all her might on his hand until he got up and danced with her. It was the cutest thing ever. If he would let go of her hands and stop dancing she would run up to him and hold onto his legs until they started dancing again. She is definately our little princess.
