A better woman....
This post says it all. I love NieNie's blog. Her outlook on life and happiness and marriage and motherhood, and seriously just about anything is so refreshing. Each day I read it and want to be more like her. What a great example to this world, especially us women.. Thank you NieNie.

Blessed
Well, last night Darren took the kids to Lehi to visit aunts and uncles while I was at school. When I got home they still weren't back so I gave Darren a call to see where he was, he was just barely leaving. About a half hour later I got a phone call from a weird number and to my surprise it was my hubby. He had gotten in an accident on the freeway just outside of Orem. It was snowing pretty bad and the road conditions were really icy. He was in the HOV lane and hit an ice patch and starting fish tailing and swerving. Before he could get control he was hit on the passengers side. Luckily, people saw what was happening and were able to slow down, so it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. The other guy's car is probably totaled and ours isn't in the best shape. Nobody was injured and Beckham actually slept through it. I guess Brinley was pretty scared, but not even a bump or bruise. SO BLESSED. We just want to thank those friends and families who pray for our family, we know that those prayers are answered. Here is our car.....

Easter
We had such a great day yesterday. I have always loved Easter, it means spring, the Easter Bunny and most of all, remembering our Savior. The morning started out with the kids finding their baskets which the Easter Bunny hid. Here is Brinley with her basket full of goodies..
Beckham was having a bit of a rough morning, the battle with teething is not a fun one. But later on he loved playing with his toys and eating snacks, a favorite pass time of his.
Brin in her Easter dress. She loved it, she thought she looked just like a princess. Beckham of course fell asleep on the way home from church, so we didn't capture any pictures of him in his white shirt and tie.
After church we headed over to my BIL and SIL house for a beautifully delicious ham dinner with my father in law and his wife.. Thanks again Melissa. After dinner the kids were itchin' to find the Easter eggs. So the hunt began. Brinley was a girl on a mission. I don't think she looked up from the grass more than once or twice. She filled her basket pretty quickly.
Our Easter Sunday group. The only one missing in the picture was Darren since he was taking the picture. As you can see the kids scored on the egg department.
Brinley's basket was full to the brim, and it was a big basket.
Beckham isn't a fan of the grass quite yet, so he didn't participate in the hunt, but he LOVED playing with the eggs afterward...

To my love...
Today was so fun... I loved driving around with you all day and watching you work. You are so great at what you do. You also have such an enthusiasm for it, very endearing and exciting to watch. I loved dropping the kids off with my parents knowing I had you to myself the rest of the night. I loved seeing your expression when I told you I would be giving you a facial. I loved serving you and helping you to relax from a sometimes stressful life. I love the fact that you thought the foot scrub was the "couples massage". I loved laughing at your face when you realized that there was a lot more to it than that. I love that I was laying next to you while you had your first professional massage. I love how you talked about it all night. I love that you can't wait to have an excuse to get another one. I loved gorging ourselves with pizza and candy. I loved cuddling up to you on the couch as we watched 007. I love how tense you get throughout the movie because you are so into it. I love going to bed with you every night and waking up to you every morning. I love what a wonderful provider you are for our family. I love what a fantastic dad you are to our kids. But mostly, I just plain love you. Happy Birthday babe!!!
